Each portrait shows the face of a gay friend who has positively contributed to my life. The portraits highlight a specific connection between myself and the individual represented, whether it be an on-going joke, related to how we met, or memories we’ve shared in the past. The colors presented in each piece are specific in sequence to the relationships of all those involved by use of the color wheel. I constructed a map of connections between the individuals to assign each person a color.
